Abstract

The current study was undertaken to highlight the constructions and additions of the late period kings in the temples of Upper Egypt. Additionally, the study shed light on the surviving constructions of the late period kings as well as entailed the architectural and artistic features of buildings during the late period. Accordingly, the study contains an integrated study about the characteristics of the late period architecture, and concluding remarks about the late period constructions and Additions within the Upper Egyptian Temples. So the study contains seven chapters as the following scheme.
The first chapter dealt with the constructions and additions of the 21st Dynasty’s kings within the Upper Egyptian Temples. Furthermore it represents explanations for their constructions.
The second chapter focused on the constructions and additions of the Libyan Dynasties in Egypt from the 22nd to 24th Dynasty. Moreover, it contains an integrated study for their constructions and additions in the upper Egyptian temples.
The third chapter represents the constructions and additions of the 25th Dynasty’s kings within the Upper Egyptian Temples. In addition to that, the architecture features for the Kushite architecture that appeared at Upper Egypt.
The forth chapter dealt with the constructions and Additions of the 26th to 28th Dynasties’ kings in the temples of Upper Egypt. It provides a comprehensive study about their constructions and additions by translating the hieroglyphic inscriptions that appeared on the monuments of this period.
The fifth chapter shows the constructions and additions of the 29th Dynasty’s kings within the Upper Egyptian Temples. Moreover it explains their constructions and additions according to the chronological order of this Dynasty.
The sixth chapter represents a comprehensive survey on the constructions and additions of the 30th Dynasty’s kings within the Upper Egyptian Temples.
Finally, the seventh chapter contains an integrated study about the characteristics of the late period architecture, and a scheme of the late period constructions and addition in the temples of Upper Egypt. Moreover, it represents the concluding remarks and discussion.
