Abstract The effect of sodium benzoate administration (a food preservative material) on some blood biochemical parameters in rats was studied. An experiment was carried out using male albino rats which were divided into four groups after adaptation period (10 days). The negative control was fed on basal diet. Three groups were used to study the effect of different levels of sodium benzoate (1, 2 and 3 gm/kg diet on some important parameters of blood serum and some vitamins. At the end of the experiment, blood collection and examination were carried out in liver enzyme, kidneyfunction, lipid profile and two vitamins. |
