Abstract The aim of the present studywas to evaluate the role of plasma level of Cyclophilin A in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and to investigate the relationship between raised plasma level of cyclophilin A and occurrence coronary artery diseases. Exclusion criteria: · Cardiac disease other than coronary artery disease like (peripheral vascular disease, thrombotic stroke, inflammatory disease, nephropathy, retinopathy)· Asthma, malignancy, metabolic diseases, and pregnancy. All groups were subjected to the following: 1. Detailed history: with special emphasis on age, sex, smokers, andhypertension.2. Thorough clinical examination: Laying stress on blood pressure (BP) measurement, and electrocardiogram (ECG). Patients were considered to have CAD in the presence of a positive ECG at exercise test, an echocardiographic stress test positive for inducible ischemia, or evidence of significant coronary artery stenosis on a coronary angiogram. |
