Abstract
The pre ent investigation deals with a comparative
study of the skull in addition to the anatomy, histology and histochemistryJ of the tongue, alimentary canal, liver and pancreas of th’ ee different animals from different classes of veJtebrate that live in Egypt. The i estigatanimalare; the changeable agama, Agama nnitabdzs (Reptlita), the little owl, Athene noctuq (Aves) and the naked-rumped tomb bat, Taphozous nudfventris (Mammalia). It must be noted that, two of these animals, Agama mutabilis & Taphozous nudiventris, were considereH as insectivorous and the other one, Athene noctua, was corlsidered as carnivorous animal.
