Abstract
CDS is a cheap treatment modality compared with other endovenous therapies. The cost effectiveness in the treatment of venous leg ulcers cannot be evaluated until larger studies with longer follow-up time have been made.
However, A very strict compression regime is usually diffcult to maintain. If CDS safely can contribute to ulcer healing for a reasonable cost of money and time, it might be an attractive strategy for public health systems.
