This study discusses the challenges and difficulties that take place with in the agricultural policies in Egypt. Particularly the environmental challenges which weaken Egypt’s ability to achieve sustainable agricultural development that enhances the ability to achieve a higher level of self-sufficiency in agricultural crops and provide food security as a key of national security. The forward-looking proposals for future how aime and adopted a in the framework of the proposed strategy, as solutions should be introduced within the Egyptian agricultural policy and takes into account the terms of sustainable agricultural development , and so out of the case of food dependency present, and future? The study showed ignore environmental considerations in sustainable agricultural development program planning in Egypt as a result of non-proliferation of environmental awareness and the prevailing belief that funding for environmental protection programs would be at the expense of sustainable agricultural development programs in the face of limited allocated to the environment in the state budget financial resources,deepening of environmental challenges and their negative effects on sustainable agricultural development.the study found the need to include environmental considerations into account as a prerequisite for sustainable agricultural development.
