Abstract
Two independent pmis of this study were caJTied out during
1995 to 1997 seasons on two mothers cv. olives :Picual and Manzanilb trees of about 8 yem·s old in order to improve the cropping of this two mothers through adopting d1e cross-pollination technique by using the following male parents: Chemlali, Arbqueen, Koronaki, Leccino, Mission, Manzanillo and Picual.
Results indicated that the use of Leccino, Koronaki and
Manzanillo male parents as pollinizer for Picual olive and Chemlali for Manzanillo olive could be recommended under similm· environment of the present investigation. In general to ensure maximum fruit production from olive orchards every yem·, it would be advisable to aJTange for cross-pollination.
