Abstract The diameter and slope culvert were known from field and velocity was measured by the FlowTracker instrument at different depths. Geometric properties were determined, discharge was calculated from( ) mean Q AV and Manning’s roughness coefficient n was calculated by using Manning’s equation. Efforts was done to find relationships between the relative water depth (d/D) and the relative roughness (n/nf) for flow depth less than 25%. Also, relationships between the relative water depth (d/D) and the product of the relative discharge with the relative Manning’s ( ) f f Qn Q n in partially filled culverts were presented. Manning’s roughness coefficient varied with diameter and relative water depth. from the rustles of the present study following conclusions are made. |
