Abstract

The present work was carried out at the Laboratory of Pesticides Biotechnology and Molecular Toxicology, Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University. The aim of the study is to explore the potential toxicity of pesticide (pyridalyl) exposure in human and environment using physiologically–based parameters. The physiological parameters that were studied; metabolism, liver and kidney functions, immune system, neuron system, endocrine system, DNA strand, tissue profile and growth. These parameters were studied using indicators; residues and kinetics of the test pesticide (plant, rat tissues and farmers urine), knowledge and attitudes of farmers dealing with pesticides. biochemical indicators (TP, Alb, Gb, urea, Cr), enzymes (amylase, AST, ALT, ALP and AchE) and hormones (estradiol and testosterone), comet DNA, immune response (IgG of rats and total cell counts, viability, phagocytic activity and NRRT of coelomocytes of earthworms), histology, CBC and weights of body as well different organs of rats.
