Abstract
Search Problems, Optimal Search Plan, Coordinated Search Problem,Symmetric Distribution, Unsymmetric Distribution, Located Target,Expected Time toDetection, Moving Target, First Meeting Time, FiniteSearch Plan, Random Walk Motion, Discrete Search, Surveillance System, Search Time, Rescue Time. Our goal in this thesis is to obtain the expected value for the cost of detecting the lost target. Analytical studies is done to obtain the optimal search plane. This work falls under the area of optimal searching that addresses minimum expected value of the cost. This arises in many areas such as search for missing boats, schools of fish, lost person on the roads, petroleum or gas reservoirs under ground and etc.
