Abstract

This thesis is about the organization of frame ,domain and mental spaces in Henry James The portrait of a lady and the ambassadors according to the dynamic Cognitive approach .The theory of cognitive refers to the nature of the contrast and difference between the two words, the theory combines with thinking and meditation ,whereas cognitive combines with experience and reality .The theory belongs to the mind whereas experience belongs to the reality .Hence, there is a question what is the connection between thought and reality. cognitive linguistics alludes to the branch of linguistics that deciphers language as far as ideas .now and again general ,in some cases particular to a specific longue .Which underlie its structures .It is subsequently nearly connected with semantics, yet is unmistakable from psycho linguistics .Which draws upon observational discoveries from psychological brain science keeping in mind the end goal to clarify the mental procedures that underlie the procurement stockpiling, creation and comprehension of discourse and composing It is of five chapters .Chapter one deals with Introductory then chapter two explains the Dynamic Cognitive approach .chapter three deals with the conceptual organization of frame domain and mental spaces. Chapter four studies The portrait of a lady as analytical study according to the dynamic cognitive approach. And chapter five studies The Ambassadors as analytical study according to the dynamic cognitive approach.
