Abstract Schistosomiasis is a serious health problem caused by Schistosoma species. There are five species of Schistosome cause disease to humans, namely; S. mansoni, S. haematobium, S. japonicum, S. mekongi and S. intercalatum. Schistosoma mansoni and S. haematobium, the two most common species of Schistosoma in Egypt. This study aimed to demonstrate the comparison between the two Schistosoma species from where; the nervous system, the distribution of nerve sensilla on the surface of the body, the surface topography, neuromusculature and the enzyme activity. This will help to expand the knowledge of all the changes that can be caused by the use of any medication or by using extracts by targeting vital organs of these worms. |
