Abstract
Delivering therapeutics to the eye is a particularly challenging task.Systemic administrations of drugs for ocular diseases require large and potentially toxic doses to deliver only a small fraction of drug at the target.Intravitreal injection has become the standard method for administering drugs to the eye. However, the short half-life of drugs in the vitreous requires frequent injections of high doses of drug.
