Abstract Honeybee (Apis mellifera L.) exposed and still to many diseases in Egypt since 28 years, for example what was said by Khattab, 2000 that ‛‛Varroa mite had appeared for the first time in Egypt in November, 1987 at Arish then varroa was detected by an epidemic status at Qualubia in September, 1989 and then the accompanied diseases started to appearance’’. So under the beekeeping industry random, the honeybee colonies infested in mortal spot, whereas the honeybee brood was stealthily attacked by American & European foulbrood (AFB & EFB) which are very ravenous bacterial diseases (Hashish, 2008). And because increment of the beekeepers’ complaints from incidence of these diseases in their apiaries specially (AFB) , this problem was selected continuation to a previous research work for us as a subject to the present study which performed at the period from May 2011 to October 2013 on a private apiary in Sheshae district at Menoufia Governorate, and some of the important tests were complemented through and after the field experiments in certain specific laboratories, whereas we worked according to a definitive plan included the following points and their results; I. The confirmation from the symptoms of the infection and the damage in the two years of the field trial dependency on our previous observations and on description of the foulbrood diseases which published by several researchers due to setting up on true base. Since in May 2011 the mentioned apiary contained on 28 hybrid honeybee colonies were divided to 16 Carniolan & 12 Italy colonies. |
