Abstract It has been reported in many previous studies that suicidal attempts are more frequent in females than males. This higher incidence may indicate an influence of female hormones on mood and behavior. The prospective goal of this study was to demonstrate the relationship between female suicidal attempts and serum E2 levels at different phases of menstrual cycle. Also, to study the potential correlation between serum levels of E2 and serotonin in these females. To achieve that goal, and over six months (from July 1st, 2015 to the end of December of the same year). |
