Abstract

Introduction: The burden of valvular heart disease is growing worldwide due to the high incidence of rheumatic heart disease in developing countries and the increase in degenerative etiologies in those industrial once. Valvular heart replacement is a milestone in the management of patients with However, significant improvements, the quest for the ideal valvular prosthesis is still ongoing. Aim of the Work: the aim of our study: to test the hypothesis that using lower INR target can significantly reduce the risk of bleeding complications without increasing the risk of valve thrombosis in patients who underwent prosthetic mitral valve replacement. Conclusion & Recommendations: Low INR therapeutic regimen undercover of antiplatelet therapy is very promising. It can reduce the incidence of bleeding complications without increasing thromboembolic incidences. Further studies will give further insight needed to allow changes in the current guidelines.
