Abstract
INTRODUCTION; QUALITY OF WORK LIFE (QWL)directly influences the organizational commitment. If qwl increasesing employee’s Qwl will increase their commitment and doing their job responsibilities more effective.
AIM; this study aimed to assess the quality of work life and organizational commitment among nurses through :assessing the quality of work life among nurses, determining the level of the organizational commitment among nurses and finding the relationship between the quality of work life and the organizational commitment among nurses. Subject&method; descriptive correlational design was used. The study was conducted in suez canal university hospital in Ismailia.(170)nurses participated in the study . two tools were used to collect data namely quality of work life questionnaire. And organizational commitment scale. Results: slightly more than three quarters (75) of nurses had low level of quality of work life,while more than two thirds (74) of them had high organizational commitment level. Conclusion the study findings showed astastically significant positive relation between quality of work life and organizational commitment levels. Recommendation; continuing education for nurses to explain job objectives and give the needed information about work, periodic assessment of Qwl should be performed,and periodic meetings must be maintained between head nurses and staff nurses to discuss and solve the work problem
