Education, in its various dimensions, is a major focus and a real input for the development of people’s lives. It is also a means to achieve the goals and plans of countries and communities. Providing quality basic education is the main way out of the cultural and economic recession facing the developing countries. Building the future and achieving renaissance and comprehensive development; because of its direct links to political reality, economic, social and cultural, so governments strive to provide educational institutions in all stages (nurseries, kindergartens, schools, universities). Educational services are an important pillar in the Omani society. The level of efficiency of this service is a basic criterion that determines the outputs that have special characteristics that corresponded with the level of economic and social development. They were submitted according to five-year plans that took into consideration the development of these services in quantity and quantity. Has had the greatest impact in upgrading these educational services and their level in the Sultanate of Oman in general and the study area in particular. The first chapter dealt with the historical development of educational services in the Sultanate of Oman while the second chapter examined the geographical factors affecting the spatial distribution of basic education services in the state of Salalah The third chapter deals with the geographical distribution of the basic education schools in Salalah. The fourth chapter discusses the spatial patterns of the basic education services in the state of Salalah. The fifth chapter examined the efficiency of the basic education services in the state of Salalah. Chapter 6: Future Planning for Basic Education Services in Salalah Finally, the research concluded with the most important results, problems, recommendations and suggestions.
