Abstract

The present study was conducted to:
1. Investigate angiogenesis in oral epithelial dysplasia and oral
squamous cell carcinoma using CD105.
2. Correlate this CD105 expression with degree of dysplasia and grade
of carcinoma.
3. Investigate angiogenesis in oral epithelial dysplasia and oral
squamous cell carcinoma using CD31
4. Correlate this CD31 expression with degree of dysplasia and grade of
carcinoma.
5. Compare the CD105 expression with CD31 expression in order to
evaluate whether CD105 is more accurate in identifying the tumorinduced
angiogenesis than commonly used panendothelial marker
CD31, which considered an excellent marker for the normal
vasculature.
