Abstract

The main objective of energy technologies is to construct a new generation of high performance energy systems having the advantages of small size, high power densities, and cost effective.
Electrode material with desirable features is the key for realizing high-performance fuel cells. The present work intends to develop common strategies, applicable to the synthesis of transition metal oxide or its hydroxide and more than one binary in solutions using an electrospinning method and low temperature hydrothermal treatment under aqueous chemical growth routes.
In brief, the present research has tried to explore the great potential of novel metal oxide/carbon nanocomposites with unique mesoporous architectures as electrodes for high-performance electrochemical fuel cells. The electrochemical results of the as-grown nanostructures indicate that the catalytic activities is significantly influenced by the morphology and porous texture of the electrode materials, hence, the design and construction of novel nanomaterials with high specific surface areas is essential to develop high-performance fuel cells. This study demonstrated a facile and efficient way to construct high-performance electrodes.
