Abstract

Objectives of the Research:
The study aims to achieve the following objectives:-
Assessing the using of Mobile Apps in Tour Operators in Egypt.
Determining the electronic tools that used in Tour Operators in Egypt as marketing tools for their programs and products.
Identifying the advantages and obstacles of using the Mobile Apps in marketing of Tour Operator’s products.
Exploring the current and potential situation of using Tour Operators Mobile Apps in Egypt by tourists.
Highlighting the challenges that face business environment of Tour Operators in Egypt when using Mobile Apps technology in the marketing operations and others business.
The Main Results and Findings
The current situation of the use mobile Apps in Tour Operators in Egypt.
The current situation of implementing Mobile Apps technology in Tour Operators in Egypt in recent stage
There are few Tour Operators that developed Mobile Apps for their Business (3% of sample).
The major three ICT marketing tools use by Tour Operators in Egypt are social media as the first (83.1% of sample), Email (82.4%) as the second and Website (64.2%) as the third. These results are different that stated in Maher (2015) that ranged the website as first, Email as second and social media sites as the third.
The elder people (above 60 years old group) indicate that the Mobile Apps of Tour Operators are not satisfied.
The most of Tourists emphasize that they don’t aware by Egypt’s Tour Operators Mobile Apps. So The current situation of using Tour Operator’s Mobile Apps by tourists is low.
The Mobile Apps ranked as the third e-marketing Tool after website and social media in Tour Operators whose developed and use Mobile Apps in their business.
The Potential Using of Mobile Apps in Tour Operators in Egypt
There are (72%) of the sample of Tour Operators in Egypt in this time have been planned to develop and use Mobile Apps in their business
The coming tourists to Egypt ensured that they will use Tour Operators Mobile Apps if they are found.
The young people of tourists interested in using Mobile Apps of Tour Operators than others groups in the future.
The challenges and obstcales that facing implementing Mobile Apps in Tour Operators in Egypt.
The results of study emphasize that there are many challenges of using Mobile Apps in Tour Operators in Egypt.The highest and the majority five challenges that facing implementing Mobile Apps in Tour Operators in Egypt are;
The tourist business had been affected by country crises, due to there are not desire to use new methods.
There are Lacks of technical supports in Tour Operator.
There are lacks of Tour Operator in financial resources to use these Mobile Apps.
Small screen of Mobile to add more details about offers.
The Tour Operators use traditional and other electronic methods in introducing and marketing their services.
The advantages and disadvantages of Mobile Apps in tour operators
There are many advantages of Mobile Apps that lead Tour operators to use them in their business. In addition, there are some disadvantages of them.
The most important advantage of Mobile Apps is; it helps Tour Operator to be available all the time to answer the tourist’s questions (24hours/7days).
Tour Operators in Egypt and Tourists investigate that the Mobile Apps are very fast, useful, and benefitable.
Mobile Apps provide Tour operators and tourists with unique characteristics that increase the satisfaction degree for both such as; Mobile Apps allow Tour Operators to send notifications to tourists to inform them with new offers and updates, mobility, use camera and etc.
The mistrust in electronic marketing tools is considered until nowadays the disadvantage of them particularly in payment process.
The small screen size of Mobile Apps is considered the most obstacles of using Mobile Apps from elder people.
Mobile Apps decrease the period of advertising process that increase the Competitiveness force of Tour Operators.
