Abstract This thesis comprised of three chapters and ends with a list of reference.The first chapter cover the up to date literature survey, which includes and presenting the importance of 1,3,5-triazine derivatives, and the various application which s-triazine moiety were employed due to its unique characteristic. In addition, it contains demonstration for different synthetic techniques and design of macromolecules contains the s-triazine moiety.The second chapter contains the chemicals used in this work and methods of characterization using different instruments. In addition, it contains the detailed methods for the preparation of s-triazine-based monomers, and accordingly their polymers using both conventional heating and microwave irradiation. In addition, it includes the methods for several applications: immobilization of silver nanoparticles, copper polymer complexation and antimicrobial study of some monomers and polymers.The last chapter deals with the results and discussion of the outputs of the previous chapter for the synthesis, characterization and applications. As it deals with the following topics:Synthesis of s-triazine-based monomers, using morpholine (MOR), aniline (ANI), 4- bromoaniline (PBA), 4-methoxyaniline (PMA), piperidine (PIP) and benzylamine (BEN) with structure characterization using spectroscopic techniques including IR and NMR (Scheme 1).Scheme. |
