المستخلص The current study aims to identify the relationship between some personality traits (depression - anxiety) and styles of coping with stresses in patients with renal failure and healthy, as well as to verify the differences between patients and healthy personality traits (depression - anxiety) and styles of coping with stresses, Males and females in the samples of patients and healthy personality traits (depression - anxiety) and styles of coping with stresses. The study was conducted in two groups: the first group, the group of patients with renal failure, consisting of 60 patients (N = 60), and the second group is the healthy group consists of 60 individuals (N = 60). The study tools consists of a battery of psychological tests, which included the Demographic Data Questionnaire, the Depression Measure (1961), the Arabization and Standardization of Ahmed Abdel Khaliq (1996), and the Measure of Concerns Prepared by the Researcher and the Measure of styles of coping with stresses prepared by Hanaa Shuwaikh (2004). To verify the validity of the current study hypotheses, namely: 1- There is a correlation relationship of statistical significance between depression and styles of coping with stresses in the eyes of patients with kidney failure and healthy. 2 - There is a correlation relationship of statistical significance between anxiety and styles of coping with stresses in the eyes of patients with kidney failure and healthy. 3-There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of patients with renal failure and the averages of healthy levels on both the measure of depression and anxiety and styles of coping with stresses. 4- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of males and the average scores of females on the scale of depression and anxiety and styles of coping with stresses in the samples of patients with kidney failure and healthy. The current study yielded multiple results, the most important of which are: 1- There is a statistically significant correlation between depression on the one hand and the majority of styles of coping with stresses on the other hand in patients and healthy people. 2- There is a statistically significant correlation between anxiety on the one hand and the majority of styles of coping with stresses on the other in patients and healthy people. |
