Abstract
This study was conducted in Chest Departments , Tanta University Hospital and Kasr Alaini Hospital during the period from April 2014 to April 2017. The aim of this work was to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy and safety of medical thoracoscopic lung biopsy (MTLB) in undiagnosed peripheral lung lesions and diffuse parenchymatous lung diseases. It included 30 patients with undiagnosed peripheral lung lesions and diffuse parenchymal lung disease. The included patients were subjected to, full history taking and clinical examination, arterial blood gases(ABG) analysis, HRCT chest, coagulation profile (Prothrombin concentration) and platelet count.
