Abstract Background: It has been known that mechanical ventilation can induced changes in renal function. These changes are secondary to renal responses to hemodynamic changes resulting from high intrathoracic pressure. Humoral responses, including antidiuretic hormone (ADH), atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), and renin-angiotensin aldosterone changes occurring with ventilation. Aim of the Work: Aim of the study is to determine the effects of air way pressure release ventilation on blood pressure and urine output in neonate with respiratory distress (RD). Subjects and Methods: This retrospective analysis records study was conducted at the neonatology unit, Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital at Ain Shams University Hospital during the period from 2016 10 2017. It included 100 neonates divided into two groups: The first group 50 preterm, sub divided into 25 neonates on SIMV and 25 neonates on NCPAP; *The second group: 50 fullterm, subdivided into: 25 neonates on SIMV and 25 neonates on NCPAP. |
