The chosen vines are planted at 2 X 2.5 meters apart. Cane pruning system was followed at the first week of January. Laving 66 eyes per vine (on the basis of six fruiting canes X 9 eyes plus six renewal spurs X two eyes) with the assistance of gable shape supporting system. Surface irrigation system using Nile water was adopted. The overall aim of this experiment is to improve understanding of the influence of spraying different concentrations and frequencies of application of seaweed extract on some vegetative growth characteristics, leaf chemical composition, and yield as well as berry physical and chemical characteristics of superior grapevines grown under Minia conditions. Conclusion: It is strongly recommended to spray Superior grapevines grown under the experimental (Minia Governorate) and resembling conditions with seaweed extract at 0.2% three times at growth start and 21 days interval, in order to improve the different vegetative growth, leaves chemical component and improving the yield and berries quality. |
