Abstract Surveillance on Salmonella species in poultry farms (including organs from different poultry types and different breeds, water samples, egg samples and fluffs) during 2016 and 2017 was applied for determining the multicellular behavior, disinfectant resistant and florfenicol resistant serovars of Salmonella, which is an important virulence factor and antibiotic resistance determinant. Twenty-sex (17.3%) out of 150 samples collected from clinical, environmental and animal origins in this study were positive for Salmonella . Serotyping of positive isolates revealed different 12 serovars and they subjected for PCR for detecting serovars responsible for multicellular and aggregation phenomena “biofilm formation” and checked for their florfenicol resistance and disinfectant resistance. The PCR showed variable results for QAC and floR genes responsible for genetic resistant and genes responsible for multicellular behavior adrA, csgD and gcpA genes. |
