Abstract
Our study revealed that paraumbilical hernias are common in females .
there are many methods in repair such herniorraphy which associated with a high rate of recurrence but mesh repair is the best in such cases.
We have found that mesh plug repair is better than onlay hernioplasty according to the post operative complications such as recurrence, seroma formation , wound infection and post operative chronic abdominal discomfort .
Mesh plug repair can be performed with minimal post-operative
complications, minimal post-operative pain and achieving excellent
patient satisfaction
Prosthetic mesh plug could become the standard treatment for PUH in adults.
