Abstract
This study was aimed to assess Substance abusers’ adolescent perception of their parental rearing styles. A descriptive correlational study design was utilized. Study setting was at the outpatient clinics of abassia hospital for c Mental Health, on a sample size of 100 patients. Tools for data collection were: Socio-demographic sheet, child rearing experience Scale, and family violence scale. The study result showed that, There is strong positive significant correlation between parent style and reason of addiction among addict adolescent ., as well as addiction was more common in adolescent males than females. The study concluded that, there was positive correlation between addiction beginning and parental style., also there was highly statistically significant positive correlation between violence in family and parental. The study recommended; raising awareness about of medical and psychiatric ward staff to consider admitted addit adolescent high risk .
