Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of injection intramuscular VS intra-umbilical of Oxytocin and PGF2α Friesian cows with retained placenta on the productive and reproductive efficiency of Friesian cows. This study was carried out at private farm, Al-Thoraya Farm for Animal Production in Kuniaysit Damsheet, Gharbiya Governorate during the period from December 2016 to July 2017. The study was performed on 40 Friesian cows of differing seasons and ages (5-7 years) and weight (450- 550 kg). Most of the cows had dystocia in this current calving and all animals had retained placenta in previous calving based on farm records. The experimental animals (n=40) were divided into five similar groups according to their LBW, 8 animal in each group.
