Abstract Summery Inguinal hernia in pediatrics is very common. Although most hernia repairs are performed by using a variety of anterior approaches, laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair may be associated with decreased postoperative pain and shorter convalescence. Laparoscopic herniotomy is proved to be beneficial for pediatric inguinal hernia since it provides an excellent view on the cord structures, less traumatic and provides evaluation of the other side. According to Nyhus classification, we classified the patients into -group I: Nyhus Type I and II Patients were proceed into laparoscopic herniorraphy (closure with muscular arch repair) using polyprolyne sutures. -group II: Nyhus Type III and IV patients were proceed into laparoscopic TAPP mesh repair using light weight mesh with uniform standard fixation using polyprolyne sutures. The study was conducted in the period from July 2016 to September 2018 on 18 patients who were presented to General Surgery Department, Pediatric Surgery Unit, Tanta University Hospitals, with age range from 12 to 18 years old.
