Abstract
The present work was aimed to evaluate the effect of (Almond +Hazelnut) dried powder +(tilia tree leaves+mango tree leaves) dried powder +(Bitter lupin+Olibanum ) dried powder , the combination of all(as5%) on diabetic rats.For this purpose , the study included about 36rats about 150/200(g) weight.Biological & chemical analysis of serum and histopathological investigation of internal organs were carried out. The results could be summarised as follows:
1- Due to diabetes, rats BWG ,FI and FER were decreased.Feeding on basal diet contained (Almond +Hazelnut) dried powder +(tilia tree leaves+mango tree leaves) dried powder +(Bitter lupin+Olibanum) dried powder , the combination of all(as5%) raised the BWG,FI& decreased FER.
2-Inflicting with diabetes raised the internal organ weight while the reverse indicated on feeding with(Almond +Hazelnut)+(tilia tree leaves+mango tree leaves)+ (Bitter lupin+Olibanum), the combination of all(as5%).
3-Due to diabetes rats serum glucose level was raised, but when feeding on basal diet contained(Almond +Hazelnut)+(tilia tree leaves+mango tree leaves)+(Bitter lupin+Olibanum), the combination of all (as5%)glucose decreased . Treatment with mixture of all plants recorded the highest decrement.
- Alloxan injection increased TC , TG, LDL & VLDL ,but decreased the serum HDL.
5- Rats fed on (group 4) showed the best treatment for lowering TC.
6-Numerically the best serum (T.G.) was recorded for group 6 (diabetes rats fed on mixture of plants) when compared to control (+)group.
7-The best serum (HDLc) was obseved for group 5 (diabetic rats fed on bitter lupin + olibanum) when compared to control (+) group.
8- Rats fed on group 3( Almond+hazelnuts) recorded the best treatment for loweing serum (LDLc).
9-Diabetes rats then fed on( group6) mixture of plants recorded the best treatment for considering serum (VLDLc).
10-Inflicting with diabetes raised the serum creatinine, urea &uric acid.When feeding with( Almond + hazelnut),(Tilia leaves+mango tree leaves), (Bitter lupin+Boswellia) & the combination of all(as5%)correct these levels.
11-Maximum improvement of serum creatinine was found for group 6 (basal diet+mixture of plants).
12-The best treatment for improving the level of serum urea was observed for group 6(basal diet +mixture of all plants)
1- Diabetes rats then fed on diet contained mixture of all plants showed the better treatment for correct serum uric acid.
14-Inflicting with diabetes raised the activities of serum AST, ALT&ALP .When feeding with( Almond+ hazlnut)+(Tilia leaves+mango tree leaves)+(Bitter lupin+Boswellia)&the combination of all (as5%) reduced these levels.
15- The best treatment to correct the level of AST enzyme was observed for (group 6) mixture of all plants.
16-The maximum improvement of serum ALT was found for( group6) mixture of plants 5%.
17-Rats fed on diet contained mixture of plants indicated the best treatment for correct serum ALP level.
