Abstract

Cesarean section (CS) is the most common surgical procedure performed worldwide.Adhesions developed after CS procedure are associated with multiple adverse effects, manifesting themselves as chronic pain, female delayed conception, and different degrees of bowel obstruction. Fallopian tube abnormalities is an important factor of
female infertility and are mostly following laparotomies. Conventional surgical laparotomies often cause peritubal and perifimbrial adhesions, preserving the tubal mucosal integrity, and so laparoscopic adhesiolysis could successfully improve fecundability in most of the cases, depending on the severity of tubal damage, associated abnormalities, techniques of laparoscopic surgery, and surgeons’ experience. The objective of this study was to find out the pregnancy rates after laproscopic adhesiolysis of post ceaserean adhesions on Fifty patients with secondary infertility after previous caesarean delivery. Results of the study proved The incidence of pelvic adhesions by laparoscopic assessment was found to be high in
patients with a secondary infertility following a caesarean delivery in 34 cases out of 50 cases (68%) while no adhesions in
16 cases(32%),the adhesions severity was filmy in 24 cases 70.6%), dense in 7 cases (20.6%) and frozen pelvis in 3 cases(8.8%). the adhesions were mostly tubal in 17 cases(50%),other were ovarian in 7 cases(20.6%), uterine in 3cases (8.8%) and combined in 7 cases (20.6%) laproscopic adhesiolysis of post
ceaserean adhesions increase pregnancy rate as 22 cases get pregnant(47%)of total 47 infertile women.
