Abstract
In this Scientific report, feed water heaters of the steam turbine of Abo-Qir new thermal power station 2x650MW is presented. The primary objectives of this scientific report are to analyze open and close feed water heaters components separately and to identify and quantify the sites and operations requirements. Feed water heaters are essential parts of steam turbine balance control operations as it takes its extractions bleeds from it, feed water heaters help to reduce fuel consumption by increasing boiler feed water inlet temperature and so increase net efficiency of the unit. An overview of design, performance, operation, critical operation, and troubleshooting will be shown and details will be provided on the equipment. Case study, the thermodynamic analysis is performed by mass and energy balance on each component in steam turbine power plant was done by HITASHI. LTD company for ELAIN ELSOKHNA power plant, to provide a better understanding of how the effective of feed water heater in steam turbine power plant overall efficiency.
