Abstract Introduction: Nowadays the whole world aims to produce sustainable concrete with lower cost to catch up with urban development. Rice husk ash is one of agriculture wastes material produced from rice cultivation. It costs many countries a lot to get rid from these wastes. So that many countries, especially those which produce huge amount of rice annual to use this wastes in production of concrete. Research objective: Producing NSC, HSC and SCC with the same or higher properties and lower cost by using industrial & Agricultural wastes. Analysis the test results of concrete on its fresh and hardened statement. Steps study: Tests were carried out on the waste (by-products) materials used in this study to determine the chemical composition and physical properties of these materials. The mixes were casted with partial replacement for cement with different percentages and types of waste materials. Fresh properties, mechanical properties and durability were obtained by tests. All the mixes results at fresh and hardened state were compared to control mix. Conclusions: Using RHA as partial replacement for Portland cement improves fresh and hardened properties hence the sustainability. Also it decreases the cost of concrete production in NSC, HSC and SCC mixes. While using SF as partial replacement material for cement improve fresh and hardened properties but increase cost in three types of mixtures. But using one of two types of BFS as partial replacement for cement decrease fresh, mechanical and hardened properties and cost of concrete in NSC, HSC and SCC mixtures. |
