Abstract A random deployment of homogenous sensor nodes in the area of interest was proposed in the thesis. Detection probability of intrusion was analyzed with respect to sensor parameters such as sensing range, node density and node availability then, the number of nodes that will be needed to completely cover the area of interest was illustrated by figures to design a wireless sensor network. The expected detection delay time of an intruder was investigated before; it was detected by any sensor node in the target field. Then, the latency of an intruder was founded depending on some parameters such as sensing range, node density and velocity of intruders. |
