Abstract

Nanoparticles of silver (Nano-Ag) is an emerging alternative feed supplement for poultry and likely for medical applications. As a result of Nano silver special characteristic of killing bacteria, antimicrobial materials containing Nano silver are becoming increasingly important because of their wide range of applications. Despite the widespread use of Nano silver products, relatively few studies have been undertaken to determine the biological effects of Nano- silver exposure. The ultimate objective of this paper is to clarify the potential of Nano-Ag as an alternative growth promoting supplement for chicken. So, throughout and systemic study is produced for explaining toxic effect, in any , dose fixation and also for economic production procedures to take Ag NPs journey to logical conclusions.
This work is planned to investigate the effect of different dietary levels of silver nanoparticles as growth promoter and antioxidant on broiler chickens .
Experimental design:
Sixty of one old day broiler chicks were used and divided equally into four groups each of 15 chicks as follow ;
Basal diet supplementation group (1), silver nanoparticles (4mg/kg diet for 42 days) supplemented group(2), silver nanoparticles (8mg/kg diet for 42 days) supplemented group(3), silver nanoparticles (16mg/kg diet for 42 days) supplemented
