Abstract Shoulder instability represents a spectrum of disorders resulting in shoulder dysfunction, including subluxation, dislocation, and symptomatic laxity(1). Instability is classified as either unidirectional or multidirectional(1). Scapular dyskinesis is the term used to describe loss of normal scapular physiology, biomechanics, and kinetics. This may be secondary to a painful condition of the shoulder; however, it does not necessarily mean a pathological condition(2), but, rather, a previously asymptomatic condition in the shoulder girdle(3). Shoulder Trauma including Fractures which commonly involve the clavicle, proximal humerus, and scapula(3). Dislocations occur when the bones on opposite sides of a joint do not line up. Dislocations can involve any of three different joints including acromioclavicular joint, sternoclavicular joint and glenohumeral joint can be dislocated anteriorly or posteriorly(3). Soft-tissue injuries are tears of the ligaments, tendons, muscles, and joint capsule of the shoulder, such as rotator cuff tears and labral tears or affection of nerves including brachial plexus roots, trunks(3). |
