Sheep and goats contribute significantly to the economy of farmers in African and Asian nations. As they are a source of meat, milk, and wool similarly to their speedy growth and reproduction. A wide range of viral diseases affect sheep and goats, as PPRV and bluetongue virus (BTV).
PPRV is highly contagious viral disease of small ruminants and manifested clinically by fever, presence of oral lesion, mucopurulent ocular discharge, respiratory manifestation and diarrhea.
Bluetongue is an infectious arthropod-borne viral disease of sheep and goats. it causes facial edema and hemorrhages, oral mucous membrane ulceration, diarrhea, respiratory manifestation and abortion.
The main objectives of this study were to shed the light on the situation of the PPRV and BTV diseases in sheep and goats in Egypt

These animals were divided to 80 animals (67 goats and 13 sheep) present in 2 flocks showed signs suspected to be infected with PPRV or BTV and 200 animals (125 sheep and 75 goats) which come to Zagazig Vet. Clinic and excluded after clinical examination.
