Abstract
A diagnostic cross-sectional analytical study was conducted during the period from June 2016 to March 2018. This study was carried out as on 56 asthmatic patients and 56 normal children. The study was conducted in pediatric department, Suez Canal University hospital, Ismailia city, Egypt. This study aimed at determining the relationship between iron deficiency anemia and childhood asthma.
For possible role of serum iron state and iron deficiency anemia in development and management of asthma in children we investigated serum iron, ferritin and iron deficiency anemia in children with bronchial asthma.
