المستخلص The aim of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of a strategy based on peer tutoring in developing English writing processes of first year preparatory pupils. The sample of this study included (30) first year pupils at Al Shaheed Mohammad Joudah Preparatory School in Sharqyia Governorate. The instruments of the study included writing processes checklist required for this stage and EFL writing processes test. The study followed the one group pre and post applications test design. In this design, the dependent variable was measured before and after the experiment. The EFL writing processes test was administered to the sample prior the application of the strategy as a pretest. After carrying out the strategy based on peer tutoring to the study sample, the EFL writing processes test was post administered. Findings of the study revealed that writing processes of the participants were developed as a result of the strategy based on peer tutoring. It positively affected EFL writing processes. Therefore, it can be concluded that the strategy based on peer tutoring is effective in developing EFL writing processes among the preparatory stage pupils. |
