Abstract The obtained results could be concluded as follow: 1-The main insect pest attacking tomato, eggplant and pepper plants in February plantations were A.gossypii, B. tabaci, T. tabaci, E. decipiens, N. Verdiula, T. absoluta, S. Littoralis and L. trifolii. 2-The main insect pest attacking tomato, eggplant and pepper plants in May plantations were A.gossypii, B. tabaci, T. tabaci, E. decipiens, N. Verdiula, T. absoluta, S. Littoralis, L. trifolii and H. armigera. 3-In February plantations the most abundant pest were B .tabaci followed by N.virdula, while in May plantation the most abundant pest were B.tabaci followed by T .absoluta. 4-Seven predators were recorded associated the insect pests namely; C.carnea, C.undecimpunctata, M. corrella, P. alfierii, L .riparia, M. pygmaeus and Mantodea spp. 5-The highest total numbers of the main insect pests recorded in tomato plants followed by eggplant and pepper. 6-The tomato bug N .tenuis can develop and survive by feeding on tomato eggplant and pepper plants.7-The highest population of N .tenuis recorded on tomato plants during February and May plantations, while no appearance on pepper plants in May plantations.8-The tomato bug can develop and survive by feeding on preys without host plant. 9-A highly significant correlation coefficient were found between the main insect pest and N.tenuis. 10-A strong predator prey ratio were found between the main insect pest and N.tenuis. 11-The tomato bug give a zoophytophagous behavior in tomato plants. |
