Abstract
In this Thesis, some of search problems for lost targets had studied.We introduced four different search plans for located target in 3-D space, in addition the fifth plan, illustrated the searching for moving target. We obtained the expected value for the cost of detecting he randomly located target.The optimal search plan had been illustrated. This work falls under the
area of optimal searching that addresses minimum expected value of the cost or maximum value for the probability of detection. We proposed a new search models that give an optimal search plan to detect a 3-Dimensional randomly located target.
