Abstract Summary In the current study we aimed to identify the incidence of placenta accreta national population-based cohort of women with placenta accreta and to evaluate the methods of management depending on maternal and fetal outcome in Tanta university hospital. During 6 months period of current study there were 2529 deliveries: 1169 cases were delivered by NVD (46.2), 1360 cases were delivered by CS (53.8%).The incidence of Morbidly adherent placenta accrete (MAP) was diagnosed in 34 cases (1.34%) of total deliveries, 2.5% of total CS this indicate high incidence with high rate of CS. In the current study we found that the cases complicated with placenta accrete varies according to age groups: four patients between 20 – 25 ys, 7 patients between 26 – 30 ys, 11 patients between 31 – 35 ys and 12 patients above 35 ys. In the current study we found that statistically related to parity, when increased multiparity increases incidence of placenta accrete. In the current study we found that Statistically related to mode of previous delivery, 3 patients was primiparous (8.8%), 4 patients delivered by NVD (11.8), 2 patients delivered by 1 CS (5.9%), 6 patients delivered by 2 CS (17.6%), 9 patients delivered by 3 CS (26.5%) and 10 patients delivered by 4 CS (29.4%). In the current study we found that the proportion’s of patients with concurrent gynecological pervious uterine surgery: 30 cases not done any gynecological surgery before (88.2%), 3 patients was done D&C (8.8%) and 1 patient was done myomectomy (2.9%). |
