Abstract Academic incivility is one of the major challenges facing nursing education and learning processes in the classroom and clinical setting. Student incivility has become a major problem in nursing education . Uncivil student behaviors can lead to a negative learning environment and increased faculty staff stress. This study aimed to assess perception and incidence of students academic incivility at Faculty of Nursing. A descriptive research design was utilized in this study. The study was carried out at Faculty of Nursing, Minia University on students (No = 400) and faculty staff members (No = 61). The findings of the current study revealed that, staff members and students had high level of perception regarding student academic incivility behaviors. Also, students disruptive behaviors occurred with moderate level and students threatening behaviors occurred with low level from staff members and students view point with statistically significant difference between students and staff members views. |
