Abstract
A total of 651 records of lambs (68 Romanov, 49 Rahmane, 151 (1/2 Rahmane X 1/2 Romanov) and 383 ( 3/4 Rahmane x 1/4 Romanov), were collected from Mehallet – Mousa , Experimental Farm, belonging to Animal Production Research Institute, Ministry of Agriculture, located in the Northern part of the Nile Delta, kafr El – Sheikh Government. The records covered the period from 2009 to 2016. Traits studied are birth weight (BW), body weight at four weeks (B4), body weight at eight weeks (B8) and body weight at 12 weeks or weaning weight (B12). Data were analysis by using mixed model, the model include the fixed effects of breed group, gender of lamb, type of birth , month of birth and year of birth and the random effects of rams and errors. In addition, genetic parameters (heritability, phenotypic and genetic correlations) among all traits studied are estimated by using single and multi trait animal model.
