The study aimed to identify the relationship between the use of Iraqi university youth for social networking sites and their attitudes towards political issues, and a description and analysis of how these sites affect Iraqi university youth.This study belongs to the descriptive studies that used the media survey method using tools such as the questionnaire which is consistent with the theoretical input on the theory of reliance on the media, the theory of uses and innovations. The study applied the questionnaire to a sample of Iraqi university youth students The University of Baghdad consists of 400 individuals distributed over four faculties at the University of Baghdad.The main objectives of the study are as follows:The overall objective of the study is to identify the use of social networking sites in Arabic by Iraqi youth and their relation to their attitudes toward political issues. A number of sub-goals emerge from this objective:1. identify the size and nature of youth use of social networking sites.2. identify the motives of the use of Iraqi youth to social networking sites in general. 3.Disclosure of political motives for the use of Iraqi university youth for social networking sites. 4. identify the reasons for the adoption of Iraqi university youth on social networking sites in the follow-up of political issues and current events. 5. Identify the effects achieved by Iraqi university youth as a result of their dependence on social networking sites in the follow-up of political issues. The study was divided into three chapters. The first chapter dealt with the methodological framework of the study, a review of the problem of the study and its objectives and questions, as well as a presentation of the most important previous studies that are directly.
