Abstract

Rhinoplasty is considered one of the most difficult plastic surgeries. The plastic surgeon must have a sophisticated sense of youth in addition to his surgical skill to reach the desired results surgically and achieve patient satisfaction as well.
The operation of a rabbit’s nose is very complicated, given the complex anatomical structure of the mucosa, cartilage and skin. The difference in the thickness of the skin from one patient to another affects the choice of the surgical method as well as the results.
The surgical methods used in beautifying the rabbit’s nose differ from one patient to another according to the anatomical difference and the defects that exist. Therefore, a surgical treatment plan must be developed that discusses the use of surgical or non-surgical methods according to the sizes of the nose and defects in the nose and the desire of the patient.
The aim of the research
The aim of this study is to compare the results and outputs of rhinoplasty by using surgical and non-surgical methods.
Patients and methods
This study has been done in the department of plastic and burn surgery in Menoufia University Hospitals in the period from December 2017 to December 2019 after obtaining the written approval of patients and the approval of the ethics committee at the university’s scientific research
The study includes 32 patients who are divided into two groups according to the method used. The first group included twenty one patients who underwent surgery to beautify the tip of the nose. And the second group included eleven patients who were injected with substance hyalurinic acid to improve the shape of the tip of the nose.
research results
The results indicated that the patient’s satisfaction with the product in the first group is higher than the second group. This may be due to the characteristic anatomical nature of the nose, which causes him to need surgical intervention to perform an island repair.
