Abstract
Hypercholesterolemia is one of the main public health diseases affecting various body organs and related to neurodegenerative disorder. Barley is one of whole grains that reported to have beneficial health effects in lowering blood cholesterol and reduce many risk factors associated with the metabolic syndrome.To clarify that,sixty female albino rats weighing approximately 100 g body weight were obtained, arranged in four groups (n=15). The experimental groups fed on the required food items diet for four months, then allowed for mating, then sacrificed, blood and studied organs collected from mothers and their offspring, for histopathological, immunohistochemical and biochemical investigations.
