Abstract The point reactor kinetics equation based on diffusion is considered the fundamental breakthrough in the kinetics of nuclear reactors. This is because it transacts with a point reactor where neutron density is only time-dependent and an equation based on the neutron diffusion equation is assumed to be the right first-order approximation of the neutron transport equation. The treatment of the neutron balance equation as a diffusion process by the neutron transport equation has limited validity. The lack of the equation of neutron diffusion can be attributed to the fact that it depends on Fick’s law, which means that the current density instantaneously changes to the gradient of flux. Because of the shortcomings of the diffusion equation of neutrons and Fick’s law. |
